It was another productive weekend for Nebraska football recruiting.

Matt Rhule’s program landed two more commitments in the 2027 class, at least that were announced publicly, with the first coming on Friday from three-star wideout Justyn Lindsay. He played at Lee Summit North last season. The three-star prospect ranked No. 1,414 in the 2027 class, via the 247 Sports composite rankings, is 6-foot-3, 175 pounds. He caught seven touchdowns last season and has built a solid rapport with Trae Taylor on the 7-on-7 circuit. He will play for Blue Springs, Missouri this season.

Lindsay isn’t on the same level as Matthew Gregory, the top-100 wideout, who committed to UCLA in a bit of surprise last week, but he’s got good upside, good speed (4.4 range), and Trae Taylor likes him. That’s not a bad place to start.

A flip for Nebraska football and an elite WR set for an official visit

The Huskers also flipped three-star linebacker Caleb Green. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker, also from Lee Summit North, had 146 tackles last season, 14 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. He feels like a great fit for the Rob Aurich defense and has a chance to be a three-down linebacker in the future after some development.

The commitment of four-star cornerback Jailen Hill feels like it’s in the bag. He’s announcing a commitment on June 16th. Nebraska football is also in the mix for offensive line targets Kyler Kuhn and Barrett Kitrell, who just completed official visits this weekend in Lincoln, too.

It feels like Nebraska will land Hill, Kuhn, and Kitrell, although the last two are far from a guarantee. Khalil Taylor, ranked 87th overall in the 2027 class, will also visit this weekend. The four-star wideout canceled his trip, but that was when it looked like Gregory was going to commit.

Taylor, who is from Pittsburgh, changed his visit plans this coming weekend from Alabama to Nebraska. He’s considered a Penn State lean, but the Huskers have to at least have a shot, otherwise, why visit?

He’s on the commitment radar, too. Nebraska has 18 commitments (eight blue-chips) and is currently ranked 15th in the 247 Sports composite team rankings.

Nebraska softball lands a two-way stud

The Huskers were never going to replace Jordy Frahm, the best player in program history, but the next-best-thing would be adding an elite two-way player, which is what Nebraska softball did with the addition of Faith Aragon.

A New Mexico State transfer was First-Team All-Conference in Conference USA. She signed on Saturday and here’s more from Huskers.com:

“Aragon comes to Nebraska with extensive experience, having played in 126 games over her three seasons at UTEP (2024) and New Mexico State (2025-26). In the circle, the left-hander is 45-28 in her career with one save, seven shutouts and a 3.30 ERA across 454.0 innings. At the plate, Aragon boasts a .323 career batting average with 16 doubles, nine home runs and 32 RBIs.

Named the nation’s No. 5 two-way player in May of 2026 by Softball America, Aragon is coming off the best season of her career. She made 37 appearances in the circle with 23 starts for New Mexico State in 2026, compiling a 21-10 record with a 2.62 ERA and a school-record 244 strikeouts in 195.1 innings. Offensively, Aragon hit .369 with 11 doubles, seven home runs, and 26 RBIs while posting a 1.005 OPS.

Aragon ranked ninth nationally in strikeouts in 2026 and was 16th in innings pitched, 19th in wins and 20th in complete games (18). Aragon is one of only five returning pitchers in 2027 who had more than 20 wins and more than 200 strikeouts in 2026. The other four pitchers in that group were All-Americans last season, including Aragon’s new Husker teammate Alexis Jensen.”
