Nebraska football landed two commitments in the last four days — both along the offensive line — and another commitment could be coming on Monday.
At least that’s what the crystal balls and expert projections are saying as Jeremiah Jones, a three-star safety ranked No. 713 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, has been trending with expert projections to the Huskers.
Nebraska football is the heavy favorite to land Jones who is 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, and out of Murray, Kentucky. The talented defensive back took an official visit the weekend of June 21st and the Huskers started trending as the favorite.
Nebraska football could be adding another commitment on Monday
Louisville and South Carolina are among the top contenders for Jones. However, the Huskers have made a strong push. The talented athlete had 97 tackles and five interceptions as a sophomore, which shows the kind of ability that Jones possesses. He also had a strong relationship with defensive coordinator Tony White.
Nebraska football has 13 commitments right now in the 2025 class. Jones would make it 14 and he would add another versatile athlete to the secondary. With his size, you wonder if Jones could even become a nickel linebacker or even just play linebacker.
247 Sports has him listed at 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, but On3 has him closer to 6-foot-5. That’s huge for a safety. But the Huskers love athletes and Jones can certainly find the ball. He’ll be an interesting addition if Nebraska football can win his commitment and we’ll find out Monday afternoon.
