When it comes to recruiting, you never really know until the national letter of intent is signed. Nebraska football has a solid 2025 class, but there are a few recruits who might have them sweating until signing day.

Jeremiah Jones, a three-star athlete, Malcolm Simpson, a four-star defensive lineman, and now Bryson Webber, a four-star cornerback commitment for the Huskers, have visited other programs and seem to at least be considering some other options in their respective recruitments.

Simpson, a four-star from Texas, visited the Longhorns recently. He’s also expected to visit for another game soon. Missouri has been pushing for Jones, while BYU and Baylor are among the teams battling to steal away four-star cornerback Bryson Webber for the Huskers in the 2025 class.

Webber is 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, and ranked No. 406 overall in the 2025 class. He committed to Nebraska football in July. The Huskers hired a new defensive backs coach — John Butler — right before he committed, but there hasn’t felt like a reason to doubt this commitment.

BYU and Baylor are among the teams that have hosted Webber for a visit. Webber told Husker Max he’s done with visits and that he hopes to lock in his final decision soon.

“Many schools have still been hitting me up trying to get me to flip,“ Webber said. “I think there is enough at Nebraska for me to stay but hopefully within the next month I plan to make my final decision and lockdown with Nebraska.”

The blue-chip cornerback did say he would visit for the Wisconsin game so don’t get too worried. But anytime a committed recruit talks about a “decision” it makes you worry just a little.
