A new crystal ball prediction has been put in for Nebraska football. Husker247’s Mike Schaefer put in a prediction for 2025 four-star running back Jamarion Parker.
Parker first began gaining traction with Nebraska early in the spring. There were several crystal ball predictions put in at the beginning of April, and he even took a visit to Lincoln around that same time frame.
Parker decommitted from Arkansas on March 25, 2024. He has since reopened his recruitment, and has gained interest from several schools. One particular school to watch is TCU. They offered him on April 21, and he is set to take an official visit there on June 14. Parker is going to visit Nebraska the weekend after on June 21st
The running back has a smooth running style that is both physical in nature and yet quick. He is able to run physically, and yet he possesses some of the same traits as a faster running back. Parker can accelerate quickly, particularly once he gets to the second level. He is particularly strong as an east-west type of runner, and uses that acceleration to get to the outside.
What does this mean for Nebraska football?
This would be a big get for Nebraska football as they desperately need another running back. They currently have one other 2025 running back in Conor Booth. They have two senior running backs currently on the roster in Maurice Mazzccua and Rahmir Johnson.
Depth at running back is going to be important for the future, and getting a guy like Parker, with multiple years of eligibility would be ideal. Getting two running backs for 2025 will undoubtedly strengthen the room.
It will be interesting to see if Nebraska football can land Parker. He is high on my personal recruiting board and is considered a must-get for me. The Huskies have done a good job of making the most of their official visits. Sealing the deal with Parker would be massive.
