Nebraska football was able to get a Crystal ball prediction on Wednesday, and it was a big one. 247Sports Allen Trieu put in a prediction for running back Jamarion Parker.
Parker is a four-star running back. He was the 18th overall running back in the 2025 class, and the third overall player in his class from the state of Missouri per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Parker decommitted from Arkansas on March 25. He is scheduled to take an official visit to Nebraska on June 21.
This is certainly a big Crystal Ball for Nebraska. For one, it gives the program another solid running back for the future. The huskers already have a running back in the 2025 class in Conor Booth. However, they have been unable to stack running backs consistently.
Furthermore, they have struggled to find depth consistently at the position over the past couple of seasons. Depth really became an issue at the position last season, with unfortunate injuries taking place early in the year.
What could Parker bring to Nebraska Football?
A commitment from Parker would help. Nebraska football has been looking for that big-time running back over the last couple of classes, and now they seem to be in a good position to land one.
Parker brings a unique blend of skills to the running back position. He can run both north-south and east-west. He possesses very good breakaway speed, and is able to get to the second level quickly. Parker is able to identify holes quickly, and immediately accelerate.
He carried the ball 101 times for 1,207 yards and 13 touchdowns last season for Cardinal Ritter College Prep in Missouri. He had six games with over 100 yards, and averaged 12 yards per carry.
This would certainly be a big get for Nebraska football. Parker would immediately spark the running game, and give them a player that they could develop for years to come. Nothing is set in stone when it comes to recruiting, but this is certainly a sign that things are trending in the right direction for the program.
