Nebraska football is on a roll in the Peach State.

For the second straight day, Geep Wade reeled in a prospect from the state of Georgia. On Wednesday, it was four-star Jordan Agbanoma, who is ranked in the top 100 overall, via the 247 Sports composite rankings at 6-foot-3, 315 pounds.

On Wednesday, Nebraska landed another player from Loganville, Georgia, in KD Jones. Also out of Grayson High School, just like Agbanoma, the 6-foot-5, 303-pound has a ton of potential.

Jones is expected to play center for Nebraska football. Justin Evans will graduate after this season, which will be his fifth. The Huskers will surely add a veteran from the transfer portal, but there’s a good shot that Jones is the next multi-year starter at center for Nebraska football.

The kid is athletic, and it feels like a little underrated. The offer sheet is impressive. Jones didn’t get an offer from Georgia, like Agbanoma did, however, five different SEC schools, three Big Ten teams, with Nebraska football included, and six from the ACC, with Georgia Tech making the strongest run, were all in the mix.

Kyler Kuhn was the top target at center for Nebraska, but things were slipping away with that recruitment. This gives Nebraska football a strong alternative and a player who can be developed into a quality starter. The highlights show Jones playing left tackle. He’s agile, but has really good feet.

Moving inside is a projection, but it’s easy to see Jones developing into a fixture along the offensive line within a couple of seasons.
