Nebraska football has been busy on the recruiting trail over the past couple of days. They received a commitment from 2024 offensive tackle Landen Davidson on Tuesday afternoon.
Davidson is not ranked in the 247Sports regular or Composite Rankings although he could receive a ratings bump now that he has committed. This marks the second offensive lineman taken by Nebraska in as many days. Jake Peters committed on Sunday.
He does have an interesting offer sheet. Colorado State, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, Nevada, Utah State, Washington, and Wyoming had offered him. Davidson was part of the group that visited Nebraska football over the weekend. He was recruited to Nebraska by offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield and offensive line coach Donovan Raiola.
Davidson measures in at 6-foot-4, 308 pounds. He is extremely physical at the point of attack, and can also use his agility to help continue blocks. He also pulls effectively, which will help in terms of running the football. There are similar traits to some of the other offensive lineman commitments we have seen recently.
A strong 2024 Nebraska Football recruiting class
With this commitment, Nebraska now has a Top 25 class. The class of 2024 has 14 commitments overall, and is ranked 25th in the nation, per the 247Sports Team rankings. This class has gained significant momentum in the month of June alone, as they now have seven commitments this month.
This class is also focusing on getting offensive lineman. Gibson Pyle and Ashton Murphy should provide solid options along with Davidson. This is important for depth, as the cupboard is not empty. This gives a coaching staff that is known for offensive lineman development something to work with.
The potential is there for Nebraska to be able to develop Davidson into a really solid player. Davidson’s physicality and agility gives the Huskers something to work with.
