Nebraska football landed its third top-100 prospect in the 2027 recruiting class on Sunday, thanks to the commitment of four-star safety Corey Hadley.

The No. 7 safety in the 2027 recruiting class, and the No. 95 player overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, is the fourth blue-chip in the class that has eight commitments total.

It’s another impressive win for Addison Williams, who has also been central in landing Danny Odem and Tory Pittman. Williams was the primary recruiter for both. That’s true for Hadley, too.

Dating back to the 2026 class, Williams has been the primary recruiter for three top-100 commitments, and easily three of the four biggest recruiting wins of the past two classes. Trae Taylor is the other. Matt Rhule gets a lot of credit for that one.

Taylor is a believer. So who will be the next to join?

Predicting the next Nebraska football commitment

Based on recent expert projections, Jailen Hill is a good bet to be the Huskers’ next commitment in the 2027 class. The only question is, will someone commit before him? He’s set to take an official visit to see the Nebraska football program on June 5th, then decide after on June 9th.

According to 247 Sports, Washington is the biggest contender, although Florida State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and North Carolina are also in the mix for 6-foot-2, 170-pound defensive back. 247 has him as a safety, ranked No. 252 overall. Rivals has him listed as a cornerback.

Notre Dame and Indiana were at the forefront of this recruitment at one time. Yet, some spring visits have solidified the Huskers as the favorite. Between April 13 and April 19, five experts from Rivals projected Hill to Nebraska. That gives the Huskers an 80 percent chance to land his commitment via the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Barrett Kitrell, an in-state prospect, was trending with Nebraska football earlier this winter after the Huskers offered back in January. However, the 6-foot-4, 270-pounder took visits to Ohio State and Iowa recently, so maybe this isn’t the slam dunk that we once thought. Iowa has offered. Ohio State has not.

With all that in mind, it feels like Hill could be the next Nebraska football commitment, although June 9th feels like a long way away.
