2026 offensive lineman Gregory Patrick will visit Nebraska football on March 24. This will be his first visit to Lincoln. This was reported by Allen Trieu of 247Sports. ($)

Patrick is not ranked in the 247Sports regular or Composite Rankings. However, he does have an offer sheet that compiles 16 in total. Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Penn State, and Purdue are among the Big Ten schools that have offered him.

Patrick has good size at six-foot-four, 265 pounds. He was a varsity starter at 14 years old and was a First-Team All-Conference selection while playing for Portage Northern High school in Michigan.

What could he bring to the table for Nebraska football?

Patrick is extremely physical on the line. As a pass blocker, he is able to extend his hands, and control his man on the line of scrimmage. One of the more noticeable elements of his game is the fact that he is able to get out into space. He is extremely agile as a lineman, and that is most noticeable in the passing game. He can get out on a screen play and move downfield rather quickly.

Currently, Nebraska football does not have anybody in the 2026 class. That’s not unusual, given that the program is still working on the 2025 group. Right now, it’s about getting the 2026 kids in for visits.

Nebraska has done a good job of establishing late March visits as a catalyst for future classes. They did this last year as well. Getting a highly-tattered offensive lineman to Lincoln this early is certainly a good sign.

It will be interesting to see if Patrick takes anything away from this visit. At the very least, Nebraska football is continuing to prioritize offensive lineman. The older Nebraska teams really made building the pipeline a focus. It seems that this coaching staff wants to take that same direction as well. The Huskers had success doing that in 2024. it’s only right that they try and continue that trend in future years.
