Four-star quarterback TJ Lateef is going to take an official visit to Nebraska football, plus more in our recruiting news.
The 2025 quarterback board for Nebraska football has shifted in the past few weeks and there was another development this week as four-star quarterback recruit TJ Lateef has announced an official visit.
Lateef is out of Orange Lutheran High School in California. He’s ranked No. 243 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings for the 2025 class, in addition to being ranked 21st among quarterbacks.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder was offered by Nebraska football recently. Glenn Thomas and the rest of the Nebraska coaches stopped in on February 5th and offered Lateef.
That made an impression on the blue-chip prospect who will visit on April 27th weekend (spring game). Here’s what he told Chad Simmons of 247 Sports about Nebraska football:
“I like Nebraska a lot. The coaches are showing me a lot of love and they came up to my school and that’s when they offered. I hear from both offensive coordinators, coach (Glenn) Thomas and coach (Marcus) Satterfield and I’m really comfortable with them. I’ve talked to them one the phone and I like the vibe I have with them right now. I’m excited to visit and learn more about the program and see the school up close.”
Lateef is also expected to visit Texas A&M and Ole Miss. He’s also not the only 2025 quarterback that’s expected to visit the Huskers, however, he is the first to set an official visit.
2025 defensive back also schedules official visit
Another 2025 recruit who will take an official visit to Nebraska football is three-star safety Rylon Dillard-Allen. Out of Phoenix, Arizona, Dillard-Allen is ranked 399th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. in the 2025 class. He’s 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, and ran a 10.86 in the 100-meter dash.
That sounds like a Matt Rhule recruit to me. Nebraska offered Dillard-Allen on February 2nd. He did visit Washington last month. He’s also got offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Colorado State among others.
This is the third 2025 recruit to schedule an official visit this week and it seems like the Huskers are setting up for a big weekend for the spring game, as well as a few more in June.
