It could be a big weekend for Nebraska football at the All-American Bowl, set to take place this Saturday. Tight and Carter Nelson is already turning heads, as he has impressed over the course of these practices.

Nelson is coming off a season for Ainsworth that saw him record 25 total touchdowns. He finished his high school career with 128 receptions for 2,346 yards and 43 touchdowns. Last season, he caught 22 passes for 658 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was also a dual-threat player offensively. He carried the ball 120 times for 1,148 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Now, he is showing off his skills at the All-American Bowl. Auburn quarterback commit Walter White found Nelson in the end zone for a touchdown during the course of Wednesday’s practice. 247Sports’ Christian Clemente was able to capture the touchdown on video.

If this touchdown is any indication, Nelson will be a force to be reckoned with in the red zone. On this particular play, he showed his ability to get open. It will be fun to see what he does on Saturday, as he goes up against some of the best high school commits in the country. Nebraska football will certainly be well-represented as they will have three players at the game itself.
