Nebraska football  has an official visit locked in with a high-priority wide receiver. 2025 four-star wideout Cortez Mills will visit Lincoln on June 14. This was reported by On3’s Chad Simmons.

Mills has a gauntlet of visits lined up. This includes the likes of Clemson on May 31, Florida on June 7, and Miami on June 21. Mills is the 18th overall wide receiver in the 2025 class, and the 19th overall player in his class from the state of Florida per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Mills has had a productive career for Homestead. The wide receiver tallied 53 catches for 1,136 yards and two touchdowns as a junior in 2023. He averaged 103.3 yards per game, and 21.4 yards per catch. Mills measures in at six-foot-one, 170 pounds. Nevertheless, his size does not negate his playmaking ability.

Mills lined up primarily on the outside for Homestead. He has a good initial burst, and is able to get downfield with ease.  Mills has the ability to make one-handed catches, and his athleticism is definitely an asset. He is very good at coming back to the football on a broken play, and that speed allows him to turn a broken play into a productive one.

Nebraska football has a loaded wide receiver room

Nebraska football has several talented wide receivers on the roster already. Malachi Coleman, and Jaylen Lloyd both showed flashes last season. Jacory Barney, Dae’vonn Hall and Isaiah McMorris are a part of a 2024 class that shows promise at the position. Nebraska football has done a really good job of stocking the wide receiver position. Landing Mills would just add to that.

The wide receiver room is undoubtedly loaded. However, Nebraska would certainly find a spot for Mills. He brings that dynamic playmaking ability that fits well in Marcus Satterfield’s offense. On top of this, having a quarterback like Dylan Raiola certainly helps things. The Huskers finally have a quarterback that can help elevate the play of the wide receivers.

The Huskers are going to face some stiff competition for Mills. This is certainly expected given his talent level. Nebraska has been recruiting him for quite a while now, and here’s hoping it pays off.
