Nebraska football got a visit from an elite 2025 wide receiver this weekend, as four-star wideout Andrew Marsh was in town.

Marsh is the fifth overall wide receiver in the 2025 class, and the fifth overall player in his class from the state of Texas per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Nebraska football is going to have their work cut out for them when it comes to Marsh. His offer sheet is extremely impressive. He has 30 offers in total, including from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and USC. Huskers are going to have to go toe-to-toe with some elite programs.

Marsh had an impressive season for Katy Jordan High School. The Fulshear, Texas native caught 53 passes for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns. In two years of recorded statistics, he has 84 receptions for 12,56 yards and 16 touchdowns.

What could he bring to Nebraska Football?

Marsh fits the athletic profile of what Nebraska football is looking for in their receivers.  Marsh has speed. He ran 400-meter times of 50.24 and 50.28 as a freshman. He measures in at 6-4-1, 173 pounds, and played eight games on varsity as a freshman.

Marsh is extremely athletic. He can get downfield quickly, and makes athletic catches with ease. However, he is not just a downfield threat. He also is able to make things happen after the catch. This is where his speed is most-utilized. Nebraska football has made it clear that they want athletes with speed. Marsh certainly fits the bill there.

2025 class taking shape

Currently, the 2025 Nebraska football recruiting class ranks 14th overall in the country. The class itself only has two commitments in defensive lineman Tyson Terry and athlete Caden VerMaas. That should change shortly, as more commitments could be on the way. Linebacker Christian Jones has been trending to Nebraska recently, and visited campus this past weekend.

This is certainly a notable piece of news, as it’s clear Nebraska football wants to add even more talent in the 2025 class. Getting the athletes on campus is the first step. Now, it’s about sealing the deal. It will be fascinating to see which direction Nebraska takes with this class.
