Nebraska football is starting to shift its recruiting focus to the 2026 class and the Colorado game is setting up to be a huge visit weekend.
Not only are the Huskers working to have five-star 2025 recruit Michael Terry visit for that game, but Nebraska football will also have Miami commitment Jordan Campbell on campus for a visit according to a report from Chad Simmons of On3.com.
Campbell is an elite prospect in the 2026 class. Out of Opa Locka, Florida, he’s 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, and the linebacker is ranked No. 93 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Campbell committed to Miami back in November. Yet, he’s taking some visits this fall. Michigan will also host Campbell for a visit so the Nebraska Cornhuskers aren’t the only team aiming for a flip.
Nebraska football has had success recruiting in Florida in recent classes and getting Campbell on campus is at least a good place to start.
Nebraska Cornhuskers ranked No. 2 in volleyball Coaches poll
As the Nebraska volleyball team gears up for the 2024 season, the Cornhuskers are ranked No. 2 in the AVCA Coaches Poll to open the season.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers got 15 first-place votes, which put them behind only Texas — the defending national champions. Nebraska lost just two matches last season and one of them was a sweep at the hands of Texas in the national title match.
Texas isn’t on the schedule but seven of the top-10 ranked teams are. Nebraska volleyball will open the season against ninth-ranked Kentucky, while the Big Ten has five of the top 10 teams.
The Nebraska volleyball team also met with the media on Monday. Standout Harper Murray, who got into some legal trouble over the summer, declined to comment on that but talked about the support of Cornhuskers fans
“The support from our fans is tremendous,” Murray said. “And it’s always been that way.”
Murray is going to be available for the Huskers’ first match of the season and just like the football team, we are getting close to Nebraska volleyball season finally getting underway, for real.

In case you missed it, Matt Rhule talked about what makes Dylan Raiola so “special” on the Jim Rome Show. The Huskers were also projected to make another bowl game.
This latest projection from Brett McMurphy of the Action Network has Nebraska meeting Texas in the Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31. Texas is ranked in the top five in the preseason AP poll but the schedule is tough and there could be a few losses along the way.
Nebraska would have to win probably nine games to reach the Citrus Bowl, so that would be a great result if it happened for the Huskers and who wouldn’t want a shot against Texas?
