In our latest Nebraska Cornhuskers news roundup, Nebraska football offers a new quarterback in 2026 plus more.
Quarterback recruiting is always a different animal and Nebraska football is being proactive on that front in the 2025 and 2026 classes.
Regarding the 2025 Nebraska football recruiting class, the Huskers have already focused on three-star Alex Manske as their top target. Manske is out of Iowa and has visited the Huskers a total of six times. He’s supposed to visit on Saturday against Maryland too.
Nebraska football was recently projected to land Manske, which would be huge for Matt Rhule and company. Yet, there was a new offer to a 2026 QB on Wednesday to Dia Bell a 6-foot-1 184-pound quarterback out of Florida.
Bell is currently unranked according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, but he’s got an offer list that’s growing and already includes Florida, Miami, Penn State, BYU, and Nebraska football.
In another bit of recruiting news, Grant Brix will visit Oklahoma this weekend. Yet, in-state tight end Chase Loftin will also visit Nebraska for the Maryland game.
Nebraska Cornhuskers sign 5-star in women’s basketball
Amy Williams has been building a successful program with Nebraska but the Huskers took a huge step forward on Wednesday with the signing of five-star standout Britt Prince. She’s a dominant player and despite the fact that just about every team wanted her, Prince stayed home, which is huge for Nebraska women’s basketball.
Prince made her commitment official and signed on the dotted line on Wednesday and just as a reminder of what the Huskers are getting, here are some highlights.
Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball wins again
The Huskers had a struggle with Northwestern on Wednesday night as Nebraska volleyball went to four sets against the Wildcats before pulling away for a 3-1 win (28-26, 24-26, 25-11 and 25-20).
Merritt Beason continued her strong season with 13 kills, a number matched by Harper Murray. Bekka Allick also had a big night for the Cornhuskers with seven blocks and 11 kills. She also hit .562. Nebraska is 24-0 and the top-ranked Huskers will take on Illinois on Sunday at 12 PM CST.
