Welcome to Husker Big Red Daily, your daily stop for the latest Nebraska football news, recruiting buzz, transfer portal updates, and Huskers headlines. Here’s a quick look at the latest storylines surrounding Nebraska athletics.

This Monday’s edition of the Husker Big Red Daily is all about recruiting. Nebraska football changed uniforms this weekend, announcing a change on Saturday night.

But as we wrote, that doesn’t matter. At least not in terms of winning games. Recruiting is much more important, and some key things were happening this weekend on the trail.

It started with a recruit who visited last weekend, three-star defensive back Brennan Drummond. The 6-foot, 185-pound safety out of Providence Day in Charlotte, North Carolina, who is ranked No. 884 overall committed to Nebraska football on Sunday. He could play safety or nickel. Georgia was in the mix but he didn’t take an official visit there, so the Huskers won out.

It’s the 20th commitment overall. The Huskers have nine blue-chip commitments and 11 three-star recruits who are currently committed.

Kyler Kuhn committed to Missouri

Geep Wade and Nebraska football made a strong push to land the Kansas City, Missouri, offensive lineman, but after an official visit to Nebraska (June 12), the Tigers have taken control of this recruitment, at least according to Steve Wiltfong, who put in an expert projection for Missouri to win out.

I’ll admit I had hope that the Huskers could pull it off with Kuhn. They certainly wanted him, but you aren’t going to win every recruitment either.

A three-star tight end might not have visited

Seagher Milholen was supposed to visit this weekend. It appears that didn’t happen. The three-star tight end didn’t post about an official visit. It was confirmed by Husker Online that Nebraska canceled his visit.

That likely means Milholen is off the board. That doesn’t mean that Ahmad Hudson is coming, despite the recent reports of optimism, but it is interesting.
