It’s easy for Nebraska fans to be focused on the basketball team right now, with a game against Iowa in the Sweet 16 just two days away; however, there are some exciting things happening for Nebraska football on the recruiting trail.

The Huskers just picked up their seventh commitment of the 2027 class over the weekend from three-star Kaden Howard. The wideout runs 10.6 in the 100-meter dash. He’s been a little overlooked in Florida, but feels like a quality pickup.

Since then, the Nebraska football program has been projected to land three other commitments in the 2027 class.

The first was four-star offensive tackle Timi Aliu. The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder just got a projection from Tim Verghese, who covers Nebraska for Rivals. That gives the Huskers an 84-percent chance to land his commitment via the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Nebraska football projected to land elite safety

The Rivals RPM also has Nebraska listed as the heavy favorite for four-star Corey Hadley, a safety in 2027 who is ranked 89th overall via the Rivals Industry Rankings at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds out of Sandy Creek, Georgia. Hadley has visited Nebraska four times, including on March 12th.

Verghese put in a projection there, too. That gives the Huskers a 93-percent chance to win the commitment of Hadley. Bryan Munson of Husker Online also has an expert projection in favor of Nebraska.

Munson has also projected the Huskers to land defensive lineman, Errol Demontagnac, a 6-foot-3, 270-pound three-star prospect from Florida.

Demontagnac has 14 power-4 offers. Teams like Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Maryland, Iowa State, Georgia Tech, Pitt, Syracuse, and Kansas State have entered the mix, among others.

Yet, the rising three-star visited Nebraska this spring, and is expected back for the spring game this weekend. That doesn’t mean a commitment is on the horizon but it’s a really good sign for the Huskers moving forward.

It could also be the first commitment under new defensive tackles coach Corey Brown.
