EA Sports announced more details about NCAA 25 and here are five Nebraska football players I want to use in the game.

Fans of the EA Sports College Football series are over the moon excited after EA released a video confirming the release of the game this summer, as well as the full details coming out in May. Of course, this means we’ll get to play as Nebraska football players as soon as this summer.

Nebraska football fans aren’t the only ones excited about this game. But there was a screenshot released of a Huskers jersey and it got me thinking about playing with the Cornhuskers once the game is released.

We have been waiting 11 years for this game and here are the five current Nebraska football players I’m looking forward to using the most when NCAA Football 25 is released.

Dylan Raiola, QB

This seems obvious but I can’t wait to play with the five-star future starting quarterback. I plan on beating Iowa, winning the Big Ten, and in dynasty mode, eventually winning the national championship.

Thinking about Nebraska football having a five-star quarterback with ridiculous arm talent will not only make the Huskers really fun to use in the game, but it should make building them into a dynasty much easier.

I know I’ll be launching some bombs down the field and I can’t wait to see the first glimpse of Lincoln Memorial Stadium.

Nash Hutmacher, DL

I love using defensive line on Madden and you can bet when I play with the Nebraska football team, I’ll be taking a few turns with Nash Hutmacher on defense.

The 6-foot-4, 300-some pounder (at least during football season, he’s wrestling now at 285) was a force on the defensive line in Tony White’s first season. He could have easily gone to the NFL draft but returned and he feels like a guy who should earn some sort of Big Ten All-Conference honors.

And I’m thinking about the ability to just truck stick through defensive linemen on the way to quarterbacks. I could say a lot of the same stuff about Ty Robinson, who I’ll be using plenty too.

Carter Nelson, TE/Athlete

Nelson is going to be fun to use over the next few seasons (dynasty mode) as he grows along with Dylan Raiola. His performance at the Polynesian Bowl showed that he’s ready to contribute right away.

It might be difficult to earn a starting job right away at tight end with Thomas Fidone, but the two should be out there plenty in two tight-end sets and I hope Matt Rhule does give him the ball as a runner.

He’s 6-foot-5, 225 pounds and he runs the 40 in 4.5. His athleticism is off the charts and he’s used to having the ball in his hands. I hope the Huskers use him like the 49ers use Deebo Samuel.

That’s how I’ll be using Nelson on NCAA 25, starting this summer.

Malachi Coleman, WR

Coleman was a top-100 recruit and flashed as a freshman. He even caught a pivotal 44-yard touchdown against Northwestern and if the quarterback play was better, he would have been even more productive.

As it was, Coleman caught eight passes for 139 yards last season. He also had three receptions of 26 yards or more, as well as a 15-yard reception against Iowa.

Coleman was just scratching the surface and while I’m excited about transfers such as Jahmal Banks and Isaiah Neyor, Coleman is going to take a leap this season and it’s going to be fun to watch Raiola throwing deep balls to the 6-foot-4, 190-pounder.

It’s another connection that will be fun to watch over the next couple of seasons. I know I’ll be throwing plenty of jump balls from the 5-star QB to the top-100 wideout.

Cameron Lenhardt, EDGE/DL

Call me crazy but I love hitting the quarterback. That’s one of my favorite things about playing Madden. It’s also the key to winning. You have to pressure the quarterback and that’s why I will be using Cameron Lenhardt frequently when playing with Nebraska football.

Lenhardt was a Freshman All-American last season and had five tackles for loss as well as three sacks in 10 games. Hopefully, he can stay healthy this season because he’s another rising sophomore who could easily earn some Big Ten honors in 2024.

Lenhardt should also be a fixture on the defense for the next two seasons for Nebraska football and in my quest to build the Huskers into a dynasty, he’ll play a key role.
