A Nebraska football recruit is set to take an official visit to Lincoln. 2024 three-star wide receiver Isaiah has set an official visit to the program. The visit itself will take place on June 24.
McMorris has already visited Nebraska a bunch of times. His most recent visit was on April 15, and was an unofficial one. He is being recruited to the program by Garrett McGuire and currently is predicted to go to Nebraska via the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
This is a good sign for Nebraska football. For one, it means that he is at least giving Nebraska another look. The offers from elite teams are piling up, and this includes Oklahoma and Penn State. There is also interest in USC, however he hasn’t been offered by the program yet.
What could he bring to Nebraska football?
McMorris would give Nebraska football another shifty playmaker that can do several things on offense. He can make things happen after the catch, and he can get into open space. This could also allow him to be utilized in other ways, such as packages out of the backfield. He could be a do-it-all type of player for the program. His speed really allows him to be a game-changer in many ways.
Currently, the 2024 class has a couple commitments. However, the class itself could definitely use another commitment or two before the season begins. This is the difficult part with having a new coaching staff. Many players want to wait it out and see what the program is going to be like. All the while, they are continuing to be recruited by elite programs.
Overall, the class ranks 31st overall nationally per the 247Sports Composite Rankings with eight commitments overall. There is some talent in this class although it would be great for the program to lock down a few more commitments before the start of the season.
McMorris official visit is certainly good news to start off the month, and it will be interesting to see what happens as a result of this. At the very least, Nebraska is still in the mix.
