Nebraska football is on a role in terms of recruiting, and they got some really good news about two particular targets on Monday afternoon. 2024 wide receivers Isaiah McMorris and Dae’vonn Hall are both trending to the program.
Hall is a player that has been on Nebraska’s board for quite some time. It appeared that Nebraska was in a difficult position to land him, although new predictions on Monday indicate otherwise. Smith put in a FutureCast prediction for Hall on Monday afternoon. Bryan Munson also put in a prediction for Hall on Monday afternoon.
McMorris measures in at 6 feet, 168 pounds and would provide an element of speed to the Nebraska football offense. He is being recruited by wide receivers coach Garrett McGuire and is set to visit this coming weekend. McMorris had a stellar season for Bellevue West last year. He had 90 catches for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns last season.
Hall is expected to visit Nebraska football this weekend as well. He has a bit of a different game than McMorris does. He is more of a deep threat, and is coming off a season for Bellevue West that saw him record 62 catches for 974 yards and 11 touchdowns. He is a four-star recruit and would undoubtedly add a dynamic threat to the offense.
Nebraska football is in the driver’s seat
The fact that both of these receivers are trending to the Nebraska football program is an absolutely tremendous development. For one thing, they were high school teammates of current Nebraska football commit Daniel Kaelin. One has to think that Kaelin did some peer recruiting of his own.
Secondly, these are two of the top players in the state of Nebraska. If the Huskers can keep these two home, that is certainly a massive feat. It also speaks to the recruiting prowess of Garrett McGuire a bit. McGuire has done a solid job of at least getting McMorris to consider Nebraska. Something has to be said for that, given McMorris’s offer sheet.
This makes this upcoming recruiting weekend all that more important for Nebraska football. There were points in both recruitments where Nebraska seemed to be on the outside looking in. As of right now, that has completely changed.
