There have been comparisons made between Nebraska football quarterback Dylan Raiola and Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes more than a few times.

Not only is there a resemblance between the two, but it’s clear that Raiola has modeled his game after Mahomes. He even spent part of the offseason working out with him since both guys use the same quarterback guru.

That’s the thing about Raiola, Dominic Raiola, his Dad, has exposed him to the best coaching and done everything to ensure that his son is prepared.

After a long offseason, and a ton of hype, which was only enflamed after Raiola dominated in the Nebraska football spring game, fall camp started on Wednesday.

Dylan Raiola photo causes a social media stir

Nebraska football posted a picture on social media of Raiola’s arrival, along with some other Huskers. NFL players and others immediately noticed how much Raiola looked like Mahomes. Even their hair looks similar.

People started posting about it when Mahomes posted on X “That’s my little cuzzo.”

Dez Bryant, former Dallas Cowboys wideout and Oklahoma State legend reposted what Mahomes wrote and said: “He nice Pat! I’m looking forward to watching him play…”

Dez and the rest of Nebraska football nation. The former five-star recruit signed with the Huskers after being committed to Ohio State and Georgia at one point. His dad was a Nebraska football legend and there’s a hope that Raiola will follow in those footsteps and get the program back where it belongs.

The connection to Mahomes doesn’t really mean anything. It’s good to have him as a mentor to Dylan though and if he can emulate his game at all, that would be a great thing for the Cornhuskers.
