Nebraska football has put together an impressive list of spring and summer visitors. That list got even more impressive this week as four-star wide receiver Corey Simms scheduled an official visit.

Simms’ brother played for Nebraska basketball over a decade ago so there are some Nebraska ties for the St. Louis, Missouri prospect who is ranked 247th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

At 6-foot-4, 195 pounds, Simms is easily among the top targets for Nebraska football at wide receiver in the 2025 class. He’s dynamic and his other scheduled official visits are to Missouri and USC. Miami also hosted him recently for an unofficial visit, as did Alabama.

Simms posted the news of his official visit on X on Tuesday. He’s slated to visit in June (14-16) — the same weekend as four-star wideout Cortez Mills. Nebraska football has a slew of wide receivers taking official visits over the next few months, but there’s no doubt that Simms and Mills are at the top of the board.

Landing one would be huge for the Huskers. That would probably even eclipse the incredible receiver haul of 2024 which included Dae’vonn Hall, Isaiah McMorries, Jacory Barney, and Quinn Clark.

Nebraska football ‘pushing hard’ for top-100 O-line recruit

Seuseu Alofaituli is another name that Husker fans need to know in the 2025 recruiting class. The 6-foot-3, 29o-pound interior offensive line is ranked 67th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Alofaituli is out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, which could be a good thing for the Huskers since they landed an O-line commitment from there in 2024 (Xander Ruggeroli). Miami already has two crystal ball projections for the four-star recruit but Alofaituli told 247 Sports that the Huskers and others are “pushing hard.”

“Right now I’m trying to figure out my spring schedule,” Alofaituli said. “A lot of college coaches have been hitting me so I’m trying to get the practice schedule ready so I can hit schools. A lot of teams have been reaching out, but right now I’d say the main ones are Oregon, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and a few other schools. I could be close to scheduling official visits.”

It sounds like Nebraska is still in the mix for an official visit. If that happens, then I would say they are a serious contender for Alofaituli, and with the way Donovan Raiola has been recruiting, never say never.
