Breaking down the latest recruiting news for Nebraska football, which includes two 2025 recruits setting up visits.
The recruiting board for Nebraska football is starting to take shape in the 2025 class as recruits are starting to schedule visits for the spring and summer.
Getting a recruit on campus is a key part of the commitment and generally, you don’t land recruits who haven’t visited your campus. Usually, committed players will visit a school 2-3 times.
That’s why it’s important to follow the visits scheduled by recruits in the 2025 class. Speaking of 2025 targets set to visit Nebraska football, one of the best players in the state of Hawaii, offensive lineman Houston Kaahaaina-Torres. is one of them.
Torres is 6-foot-3, 265 pounds, and is ranked as the No. 2 recruit in Hawaii in 2025. Donovan Raiola has done a stellar job with O-line recruiting and was essential in Nebraska football signing Hawaii’s top prospect from 2024 Preston Taumua, and it looks like the Huskers are building a pipeline.
Torres is from Honolulu and is ranked No. 553 overall according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings and he will visit in July.
4-star DB will also visit the Huskers
Another name to know in the 2025 class for Nebraska football fans is four-star defensive back, Zadian Gentry. Gentry is 6-foot-1, 165 pounds, and is ranked No. 380 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Gentry announced six visits in the next few months. Five of those will be official visits and one of them will be to Lincoln to visit Nebraska football.
Gentry is a track athlete, which fits what Matt Rhule wants in a defensive back. He’s also from the state of Texas. SMU has the only crystal ball projection at this point, but Missouri, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, TCU, Wisconsin, and Nebraska will each get a visit. Only the Missouri trip isn’t an official visit, so this recruitment feels pretty wide open.
The Huskers will host Gentry June 21-23 which is the last scheduled visit for him. It will be interesting to see if he visits Lincoln during spring ball as well and if so, that would be a great sign for Nebraska.
