Jeremiah Jones flew under the radar a bit when he first committed to Nebraska football, but the 6-foot-4, 200-pound safety from Kentucky isn’t flying under the radar anymore.
Jones has seen his ranking bump up since his commitment to the Huskers, up to No. 598 overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings for the 2025 class. That ranks Jones eighth highest among the 17 Nebraska football commitments in the 2025 class.
As Nebraska fans remember from the 2024 class, this is about the time when teams start aiming for flips. Nebraska football has been projected to flip four-star wideout Isaiah Mozee who is an Oregon commitment visiting Lincoln this weekend.
Three-star offensive tackle Brian Tapu recently posted an offer from Washington on X. That didn’t go over well with Nebraska fans and Jones, did the same thing on Friday, posting an offer from Missouri.
An offer isn’t a huge deal. But Nebraska football encourages its commitments not to post offers like that, so either Jones doesn’t know or there is something to be worried about.
There’s no question that Jones has been under-recruited. He’s one of my favorite prospects in the 2025 class and hopefully, the Nebraksa Cornhuskers are prepared to guard his commitment.
Nebraska Cornhuskers fans come out for 5-star David Sanders
Dylan Raiola, the five-star quarterback of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, called on fans to come out and meet five-star David Sanders on his visit Friday.
And of course, Nebraska fans answered the call. Hundreds of fans showed up and greeted Sanders. Raiola, of course, wasn’t surprised and when asked about his inspiration for the request, “It just came from the heart. I’m just so thankful for this state and these people,” he said to Matt Sottile of KETV.
Sanders, the five-star offensive tackle ranked No. 2 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, was all smiles. He toured Lincoln with Raiola and there’s no doubt, the Nebraska Cornhuskers have some tangible momentum on the recruiting trail with 5-star Michael Terry also visiting.
