Nebraska football will have several visitors at the spring game on Saturday, and that includes a 2026 linebacker. Jaxon Pyatt will be visiting the program on Saturday. He made the announcement on Twitter.
Pyatt is not ranked in the 247Sports Composite rankings and has zero crystal ball predictions at this time. He does not have any offers either, but has interest in the likes of Arkansas, Kentucky, Miami, and Notre Dame.
Pyatt measures in at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds. He is an explosive linebacker who is not afraid to rush the passer. He is also extremely strong in his pursuit angle, and that allows him to get into the backfield easily. The linebacker does a good job of identifying the play, and wrapping up and making a tackle. His explosion as soon as the football is snapped is definitely one of the more noticeable parts of his game.
What could he bring to Nebraska Football?
He would be able to bring aggressive linebacker play to the Nebraska football defense. This would work in a 3-3-5 scheme, as it would allow him to be able to play multiple areas of the field. He wouldn’t necessarily have to stay in the second level of the defense. He could also be a run-stopper as well.
Currently, Nebraska does not have any commitments in the 2026 class. This is more of a class that will be built in the coming years.
Getting Pyatt on campus is still very notable. For one, he visiting some prominent schools. He has already taken a visit to Kentucky on April 1. He also took a visit to Notre Dame on March 31. His stock is rising, and it seems like the Nebraska football program is aware of that.
Expecting a commitment is looking way too far into the future, but I do expect Nebraska football to at least make a good impression on him.
