Nebraska football has had a busy recruiting weekend, as they continue to get predictions in their favor. 247Sports Brandon Huffman put in a prediction for  Quinn Clark to Nebraska.

Clark is the top player in the state of Montana, per the 247Sports rankings. He has a small offer sheet with Nebraska being the biggest school to send an offer his way. Clark has five offers in total, as Montana, Montana State, Portland State, and Midland University have all extended an offer his way.

What can he bring to Nebraska Football?

Clark is an intriguing specimen. He measures in at six-foot-five, 190 pounds. Speed is the hallmark of his game. He lined up mostly on the outside for Gallatin High School over the course of his career. He is very strong after the catch, and uses his speed to get to the end zone quickly.

One of the biggest strengths of his game is the ability to find soft spots in the defense. He is able to settle in the middle of the field very well. As result, he is able to find the open spots on the field, and make things happen after the catch. There are many similarities in his game to Malachi Coleman. That is not a bad thing whatsoever.

Nebraska has already taken several wide receivers in this class. Just this weekend alone, they have gotten Dae’Vonn Hall and Isaiah McMorris. They are also projected to land Texas wide receiver Ernest Campbell. Adding Clark would be yet another weapon, and would give them depth at the wide receiver spot.

This is a classic case of a player being under-recruited. This could be another diamond-in-the-rough type of find for Nebraska football. It’s not as if they need him to contribute right away either. They have enough bodies at the wide receiver position to allow Clark to develop. His speed and size are two things that will be able to be major assets. The depth in the wide receiver room gives Clark an opportunity to contribute when he’s ready. Nebraska football no longer has to rush wide receivers into the equation like they have in past years.

Currently, the 2024 Nebraska football recruiting class ranks 18th overall nationally per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. They have had a very solid weekend that should help the trajectory of the program.

It will be interesting to see if Nebraska football can land Clark, and continue the good momentum on the recruiting trail. They needed to use this weekend to make a statement. They have certainly done that.
