Nebraska football quarterback commit Daniel Kaelin is shining at the Elite 11 . Friday, he performed well in the accuracy challenge. He had two deep balls to take the top spot in the challenge at the time of this posting.
All throws involved him doing so on the run. On the second throw in particular, he showed off his arm strength. On both throws, he showed off his accuracy. This should come as no surprise to anybody who watched his high school tape over the years. He is coming off a 2022 season for Bellevue West that saw him record a. 636 completion percentage.
Kaelin has thrown for over 3,198 yards in three seasons of recorded statistics from MaxPreps.com.
The Elite 11 is not the be-all end-all event for judging quarterbacks and how they are able to perform. Even still, it is fun to see a player like Kaelin really make the most of this opportunity.
On top of that, he has another high school season to go. He will be able to develop for his senior year, and this is something that fans and coaches alike will watch closely. It would not be unreasonable to expect that he will get a fourth recruiting star at some point over the next couple months.
Stars are certainly not everything when evaluating talent. Nevertheless, it’s more about the recruits getting the respect they deserve from the national evaluators. Kaelin is certainly making a case to be more known on a national scale.
As of right now, he is giving Nebraska football fans a taste of what they can expect in the future. His accurate arm, combined with a bit of mobility in the pocket, is certainly something to be optimistic about. With the proper offensive line and wide receiver weapons, he should be able to help Nebraska football win games very soon.
