The good news for Nebraska football continued on Wednesday, as they were able to land another Florida prospect. 2024 Rivals four-star corner Larry Tarver officially signed with the program.
Tarver has been a target for Nebraska football for quite some time now. He visited the program back in October after being originally committed to Maryland. He first committed to Maryland on June 27. Nevertheless, Nebraska football really began their pursuit of him over the last couple months.
He officially visited Nebraska last weekend, and did so from December 15-16.
He measures and at five-foot-11, 160 pounds. The TRU Prep Academy star will be another strong addition for the Huskers. He has good vision, and is able to follow the quarterback’s eyes and make a play. He is aggressive as soon as the ball is thrown, and uses his instincts to make an impact quickly.
Tarver recorded 27 tackles and four interceptions as a senior at Norland. He played both sides of the football, same time as a corner, receiver, and returner.
What can he bring to Nebraska Football?
This is another big get for the Huskers. They have really focused on improving the secondary in this class alone. On top of that, Tarver has the speed that this Nebraska football coaching staff is looking for. He has a 10.65 100-meter and 21.55 200-meter dash.
Tarver is the fourth player from the state of Florida in the 2024 Nebraska football recruiting class. The Huskers have made an effort to recruit in the state, and it is paying off. time will tell how this Florida grouping does, but it is certainly a positive sign.
It cannot be understated the work that Nebraska for has done in the 2024 class. Tarver is another athletic addition, and someone who should be able to make an impact in the secondary sooner rather than later.
