Nebraska football is holding spring practices right now, and even though the Huskers aren’t going to have a spring game next month, it’s an important time for recruiting.

One of the most important recruiting visitors of the entire spring, four-star quarterback Trae Taylor, will be on campus visiting Nebraska football on Wednesday.

Taylor is on a string of spring visits. Michigan, Illinois, LSU, Texas A&M, and Nebraska football are among the finalists. He’s visiting each program before committing on June 6th. Alabama also offered earlier this month. Notre Dame hosted him for a visit recently, too.

Taylor is unranked according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, but it won’t stay that way. He’s ranked 109th overall in the 2027 class according to the On3 Industry rankings. Both On3 and Rivals have him ranked in the top 100.

For Nebraska football, Taylor is clearly the top quarterback priority. Keegan Croucher is another 2027 quarterback who will visit later this week, so that’s another name to monitor.

Braylen Warren is an in-state quarterback (Omaha Westside) to know as well, especially if Nebraska whiffs on Taylor and Croucher, but in terms of landing their top priority, this Wednesday visit by Taylor is massive.

New Nebraska basketball court revealed

Troy Dannen got Nebraska basketball fans excited on Tuesday night when he released the new design for the court at Pinnacle Bank Arena, which will include Herbie The Husker in addition to the state of Nebraska on center court.

The response by most was positive. I love it. The old floor was just boring, and it needed something new. This is also a great way to honor the previous rendition of Herbie Husker, which is my favorite.

Another loss for Nebraska baseball

The Nebraska baseball team continues to struggle and dropped a mid-week game to Kansas State 12-8 on Tuesday. Nebraska allowed five unearned runs in the first inning and four more in the second to fall behind 9-2.

The Huskers scored eight runs on 12 hits. Case Sanderson was 4-for-5 at teh plate with a double, a home run, and three RBI. Cael Frost also had two hits and a home run plus three RBI. Carson Jasa dropped to 2-2 after giving up eight runs on four hits in one inning of work.

Nebraska baseball is 10-14 on the season.
