Nebraska football fans everywhere have been on the edge of their seats this weekend as the Huskers are hosting a huge recruiting weekend.

It started on Friday with five-star offensive tackle David Sanders. Nebraska football quarterback Dylan Raiola put out the call for Husker fans to show up and greet Sanders and they did that.

That was a great showing by Nebraska football fans and put the greeting put together by Tennessee fans for Sanders on Saturday to shame. It looked like about 25 people showed up to welcome Sanders to campus.

In the end, that might not make the difference but if fan excitement matters at all, Nebraska would have a huge advantage. Sanders isn’t the only five-star visiting in the next few days though. Michael Terry, a five-star athlete/wideout will also visit on Monday and Tuesday.

Terry is a Texas lean but Nebraska football and Oregon aren’t giving up. It seems like a strong NIL pitch could help with both but Matt Rhule posted on X on Saturday night, “There is no substitute for HARD work.”

That feels like a positive sign and there are some positive signs with four-star wideout Isaiah Mozee. The blue-chip receiver from Missouri is ranked No. 246 overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s committed to Oregon but his Dad joined the Nebraska staff recently as an analyst.

Now, the younger Mozee looks like he will be part of the Huskers soon too as there has been a crystal ball and an expert projection for Mozee to flip his commitment to Nebraska football.

Rivals recruiting expert Tim Verghese said that Saturday was an “Overwhelmingly positive day” for Nebraska football. Hopefully, that means good news with Sanders, but at the very least, it feels like the Huskers will get a blue-chip commitment this weekend.
