Here’s the latest on visits for five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola and what it means for Nebraska football.

Visits often tell the story when it comes to college football recruiting and if that’s true in the recruitment of five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, that might be a really good thing for Nebraska football.

Hayes Fawcett put out a list of finalized spring visits for Dylan Raiola and the good news for Nebraska football fans is that the Huskers are on their twice. We all knew about the visit he’s expected to take next weekend (March 25th), but the On3 recruiting reporter is also stating that Raiola will return for Nebraska’s spring game.

We have also learned that Raiola is going to visit Georgia this weekend. We also have a formal date for the Oregon visit that we have heard so much about. He will visit the Ducks during their spring game.

What it means for Nebraska football

There are a couple of interesting things about the list of spring visits for Raiola. The first is that Nebraska is the only one listed getting multiple visits, however, I do expect that to change because I expect Raiola to wind up seeing the Trojans once again at USC.

Still, Nebraska also got a visit earlier this spring. It might have come during the dead period but Donovan Raiola, his uncle, is on the coaching staff and Raiola still made the trip and was able to feel the love from the fan base. He even got a crystal ball that weekend for the Huskers — his third.

USC also has three crystal ball projections, including one from Steve Wiltfong. Georgia Tech is also getting a visit from Raiola, which isn’t exactly a school I expected to be in the mix. It could mean that more schools are in the mix than just Nebraska, Georgia, USC, and Oregon.

Raiola will visit Nebraska for the spring and then head to Oregon the next weekend for the Ducks’ spring game. I’m interested to see where the buzz stands in a month or so and coming out of his visit to Nebraska next weekend, as well as the visit to Georgia this coming weekend.

The Huskers are still in a solid position and generally, the more visits a program gets, the better chance it has to land a recruit. And with the news that Raiola will visit twice in the next month, I feel even better about where Nebraska football stands right now.
