There were a couple of reports of interest to Nebraska football on Tuesday that five-star Michael Terry, one of the top targets left on the board for the Huskers will be taking another visit to Lincoln.
Bryan Munson of Husker Online mentioned this on the message board on Monday night, but Mike Roach of 247 Sports, one of the top recruiting experts in the state of Texas, authored a report on Tuesday stating that Nebraska football was among the top three teams (Texas A&M is now out) and that another visit is likely to happen for the Colorado game.
We have already talked about the significance of another visit for Terry, the No. 32 overall prospect in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s 6-foot-3, 217 pounds out of San Antonio, and visited Nebraska football in April for the spring game, as well as in early August before the dead period.
Terry recently said the Nebraska Cornhuskers were “building something special” and visiting for a game, especially one as important as Colorado, would give him a better sense of being a Nebraska football player.
Memorial Stadium is one of the best gameday atmospheres in college football and it might be enough to make Terry think about playing for the Huskers in 2025 and beyond.
However, a new expert projection came in for Texas to land Terry. The Longhorns feel like the team to beat, but like with David Sanders, it feels like Nebraska football is among the top two.
Nebraska football recruit selected for Polynesian Bowl
Houston Kaahaaina-Torres, an offensive line commitment of the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 2025 class was selected to play in the 2025 Polynesian Bowl it was announced on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pounder is the top-ranked player out of Hawaii in the 2025 class. He’s ranked No. 561 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and has a chance to be a really good player down the road.
This all-star selection is more proof of that. Dylan Raiola and Carter Nelson took part in the game last season.
Nebraska Cornhuskers sign Will Both to a contract extension
After leading the Nebraska baseball program to a Big Ten tournament championship, a 40-win season, and the NCAA tournament, Will Bolt was rewarded with a contract extension that will keep him coaching the Nebraska Cornhuskers through the 2029 season according to reports.
This comes on the heels of contract extensions for Fred Hoiberg, Amy Williams, and John Cook. If Matt Rhule has a couple of winning seasons, he’ll be in line for another deal too and it’s good to see AD Troy Dannen acting quickly to retain championship-level coaches.
