The Huskers improved their bowl hopes with a win and here are the latest projections after Week 8 for Nebraska football.
Nebraska football has a better chance of playing in a bowl game following the Huskers’ win over Northwestern on Saturday at Lincoln Memorial Stadium.
It wasn’t pretty. But they also don’t have a place for style points on the scoreboard. All that matters is that Nebraska football is 4-3 overall, as well as 2-2 in the Big Ten, which puts them just a half-game back of the Wisconsin Badgers right now.
So everything is in front of the Huskers. They have five winnable games left. Win two and they are bowling. Here are the latest projections for Nebraska football this bowl season.
Nebraska football bowl projections after Week 8
The ESPN Bowl projections have Nebraska going to the Quick Lane Bowl to square off against Ohio, as well as facing off against BYU in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl, which would be a fun matchup.
College Football News also has an interesting bowl projection for Nebraska football as the Huskers would take on USC in the Las Vegas Bowl which would be a battle of future Big Ten foes.
According to 247 Sports, Nebraska is about to go on a run down the stretch because they have the Huskers in the Citrus Bowl, which would probably only happen if the Huskers ended up winning the Big Ten West, which is possible. That’s how wide-open the division is right now.
The Action Network has Nebraska football going to the Guaranteed Rate Bowl for a matchup in Phoenix against BYU.
There’s no doubt the Huskers are trending up and that will only continue with a win this Saturday over Purdue, which would really make things real in the Big Ten West.
