The recruiting dead period ends this weekend and allows recruits the chance to take more visits before the end of the summer.
In 2024, this weekend help Nebraska football shore up the commitment of Grant Brix. But in the 2025 class, this weekend, which was called “The Cookout” in 2024, is shaping up to be more star-studded.
The No. 26 overall prospect in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, loved his first trip to Nebraska and if the Huskers could have another visit like that, they could surge past Oregon and Texas for the lead.
Another 5-star recruit is visiting Nebraska football
Not only is Terry visiting, but so is fellow five-star recruit David Sanders. The 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive tackle out of Charlotte is ranked second overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s also the No. 1 offensive tackle.
It’s the second visit for Sanders and according to Steve Wiltfong, “I’m not sleeping on Nebraska for anybody right now. It seems like they are pedal to the medal right now and I think with the relationships with the staff and what they are able to present off the field with their infrastructure, they are an exciting place for their top targets”
Four-star wideout Isaiah Mozee, an Oregon commitment, is also visiting. His father, Jamar Mozee, was just hired as an off-field analyst. I feel most confident in the Huskers flipping Mozee, but Terry and Sanders wouldn’t visit if they weren’t serious and as Wiltfong said, don’t sleep on Nebraska, even for two five-star recruits.
