Nebraska football has taken its swings with some elite wide receivers in the 2025 recruiting class, but so far, the Huskers have come up short.
Michael Terry, a five-star wideout, hasn’t announced a commitment yet but it seems clear it won’t be Nebraska football. Cortez Mills from Florida was another four-star wideout Nebraska was trying to land, but the elite Florida prospect went elsewhere.
Isaiah Mozee is another blue-chip target Nebraska football has prioritized in the 2025 class. Yet, Mozee committed to Oregon back in April.
Nebraska football trending in right direction for a flip
However, there have been some recent developments. For starters, Mozee made his way to Nebraska for an official visit in June. Then, in July, his dad was hired as an analyst for Nebraska football. Jamar Mozee was formerly the head coach of Lee’s Summit North, where Isaiah plays.
Jamar has deep ties to the state of Missouri. I wrote at the time it should help Nebraska make more headway in the show-me state but it can start by helping the Huskers flip his son from Oregon and on that front, we have good news is Mozee is visiting the Huskers this weekend according to Steve Wiltfong of On3.com.
That’s the second visit in the past two months for the 6-foot-1, 185-pound wideout ranked No. 248 overall in the 2025 recruiting class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Mozee caught 71 passes last season as a junior for 898 yards and 12 touchdowns. That sounds exactly what the Huskers want in a wideout and with Dylan Raiola at quarterback, Nebraska will be a fun place for wide receivers in the next few years.
The Huskers haven’t landed any blue-chip wideouts in the 2025 class, but that could change soon, maybe as soon as this weekend. We’ll see but Nebraska football is trending in the right direction to flip Isaiah Mozee.
