Nebraska football projected to land former Oklahoma DL commitment

Nebraska football needs to beef up the defensive line in the future and the Huskers have been projected to land a former Oklahoma commitment.

There’s a lot to like about the 2025 Nebraska football recruiting class. The Huskers have 19 commitments total and seven of them are ranked as blue-chip prospects (4-stars or higher) according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

But if there is one complaint that could be made, it’s about a lack of 300-pounders on defense. Yes, the Huskers have the commitment of Tyson Terry, who I absolutely love at 6-foot-2, 279 pounds. Terry is much better than No. 660 overall. He will likely grow into a 300-pound defensive lineman, but in the 2025 class, he might be the only one (for now).

Football games and Big Ten football games especially are won in the trenches. Nebraska has some solid pieces now with Ty Robinson and Nash Hutmacher, as well as some other promising players up front. But it needs more of those 300-pounders in the pipeline and I’d like to see that be a greater focus in recruiting.

Nebraska uses an odd front in the 3-3-5, but they use plenty of four-man fronts and you still need a lot of depth. That’s why the potential commitment of former Oklahoma pledge Ka’Mori Moore would be huge.

Just like Isaiah Mozee, Moore plays for Lee’s Summit North in Missouri. He’s ranked No. 761 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s also 6-foot-3, 300 pounds according to On3. Iowa State and Nebraska football are the favorites after he re-opened his recruitment.

According to Tom Loy of 247 Sports, Moore will visit Nebraska and Iowa State. The Huskers will get the first visit and Justin Hopkins, who covers Oregon for On3.com, has projected him to Nebraska football already. The On3 prediction machine gives the Huskers an 87-percent chance to land his commitment.
