Not long ago, it was fair to ask why Nebraska football didn’t have many official visits scheduled for June but suddenly, that’s changed.

Several top targets, including some key in-state recruits in the 2026 class have announced official visits in the past few days. Jase Reynolds is currently unranked according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, but the 6-foot-2, 190-pound linebacker is one of the top in-state priorities in 2026.

Reynolds has been ranked near the top of the class for most of the cycle and has visited the Huskers multiple times. Nebraska football also has the only crystal ball in their favor.

Three-star tight end Isaac Jensen, who is currently the No. 3 prospect in the state of Nebraska in 2026 according to the 247 Sports composite rankings (614th overall) will also take another trip to Lincoln. The Huskers are also the crystal ball favorite for Jensen (6-foot-6, 220) who will visit June 13-15.

Nebraska football is trending in the right direction with Jensen and Reynolds. We have talked about how four-star QB Jeff Thomalla is now the top-ranked player in the state but doesn’t have an offer. The Huskers already have their quarterback commitment so that probably won’t change unless they want to take two.

It might be worth considering. Landen Von Seggern, an interior offensive lineman ranked second in the state, has already committed to Illinois.

So expect the 2026 class to be light on in-state recruits.

Top 100 recruits set official visits

Jabari Brady, a four-star wide receiver ranked in the top 100 (93rd overall) of the 247 Sports composite rankings out of Florida will be back for an official visit after coming for Junior Day. CJ Bronaugh, a Nebraska football commitment who got a rankings boost earlier this week, will also visit officially this summer.

Bronaugh is a fast riser. Nebraska got in on him early but don’t be shocked if some SEC schools try to flip him. The kid is electric and runs the 100-meter dash in 10.3. He’s also got elite ball skills and might be one of the best cornerbacks in this class when it’s all said and done.

Rex Waterman is another name to know. The offensive tackle from Arizona is another prospect on the rise. Nebraska is seeking multiple offensive tackles and the board has expanded. Waterman is becoming a top target. The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder is unranked according to the 247 Sports composite rankings but Bronaugh was too when he committed.

Brady, Bronaugh, Waterman, and Mataalii Benjamin have all scheduled official visits for June 6-8. Joining Jensen on the June 13-15 visit weekend is three-star Dominic Turnbull. Then, coming on June 20-22 will be four-star wide receiver Ryan Mosley out of Georgia, four-star running back DeZephen Walker, three-star tight end Lincoln Watkins, three-star tight end Camden Jensen, and three-star cornerback Danny Odem.

Three-star tight end Luke Sorensen will also visit the weekend of June 27th.
