Nebraska football is on a major heater on the recruiting trail, and it feels like the Huskers are just getting started.

On Friday, Nebraska football landed three-star defensive lineman Errol Demontagnac, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive lineman who had 86 tackles last season, to go along with 14 sacks.

Then, four-star cornerback Bryce Williams announced his commitment, giving the Huskers three blue-chip prospects in the secondary in the 2027 class, along with Tory Pittman and Corey Hadley, both top-100 commitments.

Nebraska hosted two five-star recruits this weekend, too. There hasn’t been any intel about how those visits have gone, although there is plenty of social media buzz about five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson.

However, some recruiting experts have put in some new projections for some other top targets currently on campus, three of them in fact.

Latest expert projections for Nebraska football

Nehemiah Ombati, a 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive tackle is ranked No. 404 overall, according to Rivals, now has a 97 percent chance to commit to Nebraska football. That would be three additions along the defensive line, a welcome sight after a disappointing haul in the 2026 class.

While there is a chance the Huskers can flip five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson, Nebraska football has received multiple expert projections to land 6-foot-5, 255-pound tight end Joey Hunter, a three-star out of Loganville, Georgia. Rivals has him ranked 1,180 overall.

Nebraska has also been projected to flip recent Minnesota commitment, Ma’atoe Moe (No. 795 overall), a 6-foot-4, 245-pound pass rusher. He visited Minnesota last weekend and committed. Yet, the Huskers have turned this recruitment around. That would fill another key need on the defensive side of the ball.

If all three predictions come true, the Huskers would have 16 commitments. Seven of them are blue-chip prospects, with four-star cornerback Jailen Hill expected to commit on June 9th.

That’s at least four commitments that should be coming. There could be more, but it’s clear that the Nebraska football’s recruiting momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
