When it comes to the 2027 recruiting class, it’s full-steam ahead for the Nebraska football program.

The Huskers are fresh off Junior Day. There were a dozen recruits on campus last weekend, and one of the top-ranked prospects in the 2027 class who visited Nebraska football last was four-star offensive tackle Timi Aliu.

Out of Locust Grove, Georgia, the 6-foot-4, 295-pounder is ranked No. 257 overall in the 2027 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Geep Wade has been the driving force behind this recruitment, and according to Tim Verghese of Rivals, the Huskers are the favorite.

“The feeling at Nebraska, the facilities, the coaches, the fanbase, it all connects together really, really well,” Aliu said via Verghese.

Aliu has 22 offers. Georgia, Florida, Auburn, and Florida State are some of the other programs in the mix, but it feels like Aliu could be the first high school commitment for Wade as Nebraska football O-line coach.

Bryce Williams, a four-star cornerback out of Florida, released a top six on Thursday that featured the Huskers along with Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Syracuse.

Nebraska has received three expert projections for the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine to land Williams, who is ranked 217th overall via the Rivals Industry Rankings. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound cornerback has a 97 percent chance to commit to the Huskers.

A decision isn’t expected until after official visits, though, so there is still plenty of work to do, but as with Aliu, the Huskers are the team to beat.
