Nebraska football will host two surprise visitors this week on official visits, according to various media reports.
Bryan Munson of Husker Online reported the surprise visit of four-star wideout Zion Robinson. The 6-foot-3-180-pound wide receiver is ranked No. 132 overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Robinson is from Mansfield, Texas. He’s the son of the TCU track and field director, which explains why he’s such an explosive athlete. Robinson runs the 100-meter dash in sub-11 seconds. He also high jumps 6-8.
The blue-chip wide receiver canceled a visit to TCU recently. Michigan and Miami have hosted him for official visits. Stanford is on the schedule for this weekend.
However, according to Munson, Robinson will take a mid-week official visit. Robinson is one of the most dynamic receivers in the class, so it would be a huge addition.
There is also a dead period coming up after this weekend, so it’s hard to see Robinson taking this visit if he wasn’t at least serious about Nebraska football. There aren’t any expert projections or crystal balls currently.
Nebraska is hosting a blue-chip commitment from Florida State
The Huskers have another blue-chip prospect on campus — Florida State commitment Tedarius Hughes. He’s 6-foot-2, 170 pounds. He is also ranked No. 315 overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.
Hughes posted a picture of Lincoln on social media. Tim Verghese confirmed the official visit.
Nebraska’s defensive back board could use another blue-chip target, so this is a positive development. Hughes had four interceptions in six games in 2023, so he’s got ball skills.
We’ll see where things go, but he’s been committed to Florida State for over a year. However, the staff is different there, and that might give the Huskers the opening they need to pull off a flip in the 2026 class.
