Nebraska football received another prediction in their favor on Monday, as On3’s Bryan Munson put in a prediction for 2025 linebacker Pierce Mooberry.
Mooberry is the 75th overall linebacker in the 2025 class, and the seventh overall player in his class from the state of Nebraska per the On3 recruiting rankings.
He has visited Nebraska several times just this calendar year alone. He took a visit on January 27, and one this past weekend on March 28. The linebacker is set to take an official visit on June 21.
What could he bring to Nebraska football?
Mooberry would be a big get for a Nebraska football defense that is continuing to look for playmakers. He has the size and length to be an impact defender. His ability to come down and make plays in the running game, as well as take proper angles, make him a very well-rounded player. Mooberry also has the ability to be a solid tackler, and is very well-developed in terms of his overall game.
Mooberry’s ability to fit in the Nebraska football defense as well as his athleticism certainly make him an intriguing target.
This is certainly a good sign for Nebraska football, as it relates to only a potential commitment, but the 2025 class as well. The Huskers already have a strong base defensively in the class with Caden VerMaas and Tyson Terry. Furthermore, it would just be another in-state connection for the program, as they continue to recruit very strongly in the state.
This is certainly an interesting prediction, given that Mooberry just took a visit to Nebraska this weekend. All signs have been trending towards him going to Nebraska, and this is just another one.
Nebraska football has a nice job of sealing the deal with several top targets over the last couple months. They’re in prime position to do it with Mooberry.
