Nebraska football fall camp highlights that will have fans pumped

The Nebraska football season is so close you can taste it.

As I’m writing this, the Huskers are 10 days away from their season-opening game against Cincinnati. Even if you aren’t a Rhule-Aid drinker, it’s hard not to be excited at this point.

Last Saturday, Nebraska football held its third scrimmage of fall camp. At this point, the Huskers are on a more regular practice schedule. They will have a pre-game simulation this week, going through the motions of preparing for a game, which will come next week.

Before we know it, Nebraska football will be kicking off the Kansas City Classic against Big-12 foe Cincinnati. That’s probably not a phrase anyone would have expected to hear 30 years ago, but here we are.

On Monday, Nebraska football gave a nod to the glory days with a highlight video released from fall camp. It featured an old-school narrative that sounded like it was from the 1980s or 1990s — back when you could count on the Huskers winning nine games like you could count on death or taxes.

Quarterback Dylan Raiola threw two touchdowns in the video clip. One went to redshirt freshman Quinn Clark. The other was a one-handed grab from Jacory Barney. Williams Nwaneri, one of Nebraska’s major additions in the transfer portal, also made a tackle for loss.
