The next few days should provide some good news for Nebraska football on the recruiting trail as a few top targets are set to announce their commitments.

One of the top targets on the board, regardless of position, for Nebraska football is four-star offensive tackle Claude Mpouma. The 6-foot-7, 308-pound offensive tackle is ranked 169th overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Out of Chicago, he’s 14th among offensive tackles.

Mpouma is set to decide on Sunday. According to Bryan Munson of Husker Online, the decision is down to Nebraska and Auburn. It felt like the Huskers were in a good spot when he announced a commitment date during his official visit to Lincoln.

There haven’t been any crystal ball projections, but I’m betting on Nebraska here. The offensive tackle has a close relationship with Trae Taylor, who deserves an assist if Nebraska lands the four-star left tackle.

More top targets trending toward Nebraska football commitments

Munson also reports that Nebraska should be getting commitments in the coming days from Nalin Scott, a 6-foot-1.5, 200-pound wide receiver from Georgia. He’s an Arizona State commitment, but the four-star, ranked No. 366 overall in the 2026 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, has been trending to flip to the Huskers. A commitment could come at any time.

Another wide receiver who is trending to Nebraska football is three-star Larry Miles. At 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, Miles is ranked 500th overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s from Orlando, Florida, and would be another big get from the Sunshine State.

Miami has been another school of interest. Kentucky and Pittsburgh have been the bigger threats, though, for the dynamic wideout with over 1,200 receiving yards last season.

If all goes as planned, all three of these recruits will be Nebraska football commitments by the end of the weekend.
