Rise and shine, Nebraska football fans. We should see the Nebraska Cornhuskers improve to 3-0 today against Northern Iowa.
Nebraska football is a heavy favorite. The line right now has settled on 30.5 points according to DraftKings. There has been a little movement throughout the week but that’s where it stands now.
We laid out some keys and predictions for the Huskers in this matchup. Here’s also how to watch. As far as from a recruiting perspective, it won’t be anything like last week in terms of prospects.
Nebraska football is hosting a few 2025 recruits, but they are all commitments. The only uncommitted recruit with a scholarship offer scheduled to visit is four-star tight end Matt Ludwig out of Billings, Montana in the 2026 class.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound tight end has offers from Michigan and Georgia, and just about everyone else. He’s ranked No. 252 overall in 2026 and 16th among tight ends. Nebraska got him on campus before those other schools, but he’s been blowing up. This will be the third visit for Ludwig.
Another thing to keep an eye on from a recruiting perspective is Michael Terry. The five-star athlete from San Antonio visited Nebraska football last weekend. He’s taking a visit to Texas on Saturday. The Longhorns are the favorite to land him and could be looking to close on a commitment.
If Terry can make it out of there without a commitment this weekend or soon after, I’d consider that a win for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The longer this goes, the better it is for Nebraska.
Nebraska volleyball with a ranked sweep of Arizona State
For the second time this week, the Nebraska Cornhuskers volleyball team faced a top-15 opponent inside the Bob. They beat Creighton in five sets earlier this week but had a much easier time on Friday night against 14th-ranked Arizona State with a three-set sweep by the scores of 25-20, 26-24, 25-19.
Merritt Beason had another strong outing leading the way for the Huskers with 15 kills on .429 hitting. Harper Murray added 10 kills and nine digs, while Andi Jackson pitched in with 10 kills of her own.
Rebekah Allick managed seven kills and a team-high five blocks. Bergen Reilly had another double-double, her sixth of the season with 41 assists and 15 digs.
As a team, Nebraska volleyball hit .319. Arizona State was held to .213. Nebraska (7-1) will face Wichita State on Saturday at 2 PM CST.
