When the 2025 NFL draft was all said and done, just two Nebraska football players came off the board: Ty Robinson in the fourth round to the Eagles and Thomas Fidone in the seventh round to the Giants.

Nash Hutmacher, Isaiah Neyor, and Tommi Hill, three other Nebraska football players who were in the conversation to get picked, didn’t come off the board.

That doesn’t mean their NFL careers are over, though. We have seen other Huskers make the league as undrafted free agents, and a few Nebraska football players have signed with NFL teams already. Hutmacher signed with the Ravens after the draft. Isaac Gifford signed with the Panthers, and John Bullock agreed to a deal with the Bucs.

Ben Scott, the starting center the past two seasons for Nebraska football, has signed as an undrafted free agent with the Bucs. Neyor, who impressed during the NFL draft combine, which led many to believe he could get picked on day three of the draft, found a home with the San Francisco 49ers. Jahmal Banks also signed with Baltimore.

Hill was talked about as a first-round pick earlier in the season. Yet, the 6-foot cornerback with blazing speed, when healthy, was hampered by a foot injury. He missed most of the season, and his draft stock plummeted.

Yet, Hill was listed as the fourth-best cornerback available among undrafted free agents by NFL.com, so he should find a home in the NFL soon. And if he can get right, I wouldn’t be shocked at all to see Tommi Hill on an NFL roster for the 2025 season.
