Nebraska football gets trio of crystal balls for 2025 QB TJ Lateef

It’s starting to feel like a matter of if, not when four-star quarterback TJ Lateef commits to the Nebraska football program.

Steve Wiltfong dropped a prediction in favor of Nebraska football and the Huskers are the heavy favorite via the On3 prediction machine as Husker experts entered the same projection as Wiltfong.

Wiltfong is one of the most trusted experts in the industry. But on Saturday, there’s even more evidence that this recruitment is going to go the Huskers’ way as three experts from 247 Sports have entered crystal balls for Nebraska football to land the No. 238 overall prospect and 17th-ranked QB in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Prior to Saturday, there weren’t any crystal balls for Lateef. But Greg Biggins, Michael Bruntz, and Brian Christopherson have logged predictions for the Huskers. Bruntz and Christopherson are Nebraska reporters and they each used high confidence levels for their picks.

Lateef visited Lincoln for the spring game and the buzz has been positive ever since. Other programs in the mix are expanding their boards. Frankly, Nebraska felt like the leader going into the spring game weekend. Now, it feels almost like a done deal.

Crystal balls aren’t commitments. But Nebraska is getting close to a commitment from Lateef. The four-star quarterback is 6-foot-1, 185 pounds out of Orange, California. He hasn’t said when he will announce a commitment but you have to hope we hear a date soon or an announcement.

It’s time for the Huskers to seal the deal with another blue-chip quarterback.
