Welcome to Husker Big Red Daily, your daily stop for the latest Nebraska football news, recruiting buzz, transfer portal updates, and Huskers headlines. Here’s a quick look at the latest storylines surrounding Nebraska athletics.

The Georgia Bulldogs are eyeing a flip of one of Nebraska’s top-ranked 2027 football commitments: four-star safety Corey Hadley.

Hadley, who is ranked No. 147 overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings in the 2027 class, visited Georgia recently. The Bulldogs are putting on the full-court press and are in “heavy pursuit,” according to Rivals.

“With this being a big decision, it can never be over until it’s really over. You’ve got to think that’s always the hometown team,” Hadley said about his recruitment.

Hadley is one of 10 blue-chip prospects committed to the Huskers in 2027, a class that ranks 17th according to 247 Sports. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound safety is the fifth-highest-ranked player in the class.

There haven’t been any projections for Hadley to flip to the Bulldogs, but it’s something to watch in the coming weeks. On another note, 2027 EDGE commitment Ma’atoe Moe posted on X that he was still “100000% Huskers.”

Nebraska football vs. North Dakota

Here’s everything you need to know about the Nebraska football game against North Dakota, including how to watch, as well as a deeper dive into a team that averages more than 500 yards of total offense and has scored at least 42 points in every game this season.

Top-25 in-state volleyball match

Top-ranked Nebraska will be led into its 25th matchup all-time against the 20th-ranked Blue Jays by Manaia Ogbechie, the Big Ten Player of the Week for the past week.

Via Huskers.com: “Ogbechie led the top-ranked Huskers to a 3-0 week against New Mexico, No. 20 Baylor and Georgia Tech last weekend. Last week, the sophomore middle blocker was the only player in the country to hit above .540 with at least 53 swings. Across the three matches, Ogbechie totaled 33 kills on a blistering pace of .547 hitting and added 12 blocks.”

One thing that makes Nebraska difficult to beat on a nightly basis is the Huskers’ exceptional defense. Through seven matches in 2026, Nebraska leads the country with an opposing hitting percentage of .101. Nebraska is fifth in hitting percentage (.330), giving the Huskers the second-best hitting percentage difference in college volleyball behind Michigan State.

Jaya Johnson is one name to know for Nebraska fans. She’s an All-Big East outside hitter. However, Trinity Shadd-Ceres and Abbey Hayes have been the Blue Jays’ best hitters. Creighton is hitting .177 this season, while opponents are hitting .192.

The match will start at 6 p.m., and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. It will be played in Pinnacle Bank Arena.
