5-star Michael Terry will visit Nebraska football again

Nebraska football seemed like it was fading in the recruitment of Michael Terry but is now expected to host him for another visit.

We have seen Nebraska football come back from the dead in more than one recruitment and it appears as though the Huskers have done that again with five-star wide receiver/athlete Michael Terry.

Terry did release a top four recently that included Nebraska football, Oregon, Texas, and Texas A&M. Yet, in interviews, Terry indicated the Huskers weren’t a serious consideration anymore.

Texas has emerged as the favorite according to the On3 prediction machine and the crystal ball projections. Out of San Antonio, Terry is one of the best athletes in the 2025 class and is ranked 26th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Texas is the favorite but Nebraska football is a team to watch

The On3 prediction machine favors Texas in this recruitment and Terry wasn’t shy that NIL would be a factor. That might be why Oregon, Texas, and Texas A&M are in the mix. Nebraska has shown (with Dylan Raiola) that it can pay well for the right player, so maybe there’s something to that.

Terry took an official visit to Nebraska for the spring game and loved it. He even said Matt Rhule isn’t “playing fair.”

But the Huskers’ momentum wore off after a while. Yet, according to Steve Wiltfong of On3.com, Terry will visit Nebraska football on Monday and Tuesday following visits to Oregon and Texas.

If Terry decides soon, Nebraska could be his final visit. That bodes well for the Huskers who are also getting four-star wideout and Oregon commitment Isiaha Mozee on campus for a visit this weekend.

The Huskers might not have room for as many signees as in 2024, but if they can land Terry and Mozee, I’m sure Matt Rhule would make the numbers work.
