Nebraska football added a blue-chip commitment earlier this week in four-star cornerback Danny Odem, then added another on Friday with the pledge of Nalin Scott.
The four-star wide receiver ranked No. 366 overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, flipped his commitment from Arizona State to Nebraska football.
Scott visited the Huskers during the spring, but the 6-foot-2, 200-pound wideout, who has 34 offers, including from Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Florida, Tennessee, Miami, Michigan, and others, made his flip official on Friday.
Not all those teams were in it at the end, but after missing on Zion Robinson earlier this week, Scott was a must-land for Nebraska football. The Huskers got it, thanks in part to Dayton Raiola, although offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen didn’t hurt.
Larry Miles is expected to commit in the next week, so Scott won’t be the last wide receiver joining this class from the recent string of official visits.
Nebraska football trending for an elite offensive tackle
Claude Mpouma is a massive target for the Huskers. He’s probably the only guy on the board ranked in the top 200 overall that Nebraska has a realistic chance of landing.
The 6-foot-7, 308-pound offensive tackle out of Chicago, just like Trae Taylor. He set a commitment date for Sunday, during his Nebraska visit, and since then, he’s been projected to commit to Nebraska by Steve Wiltfong of On3.com and others.
It was reported that Auburn was the other finalist, so you never know. It’s going to take some NIL money to get this done, and what might be true on Friday might not be by Sunday.
However, it feels like Matt Rhule and company will finally land an elite offensive tackle coming out of high school.
Mpouma is the real deal. And he’s 100 percent a left tackle. The On3 prediction machine gives Nebraska a 96% chance of getting his commitment. He’s ranked No. 169 in the 247 Sports composite rankings.
