Things have been looking good for Nebraska football on the Dylan Berymon front. After Matt Rhule and new defensive line coach Corey Brown visited him last week, it was clear that the Huskers were the team to beat.

Kentucky has also been battling for the 6-foot-2, 330-pound defensive tackle from Louisiana. Berymon is the top-ranked recruit currently not committed in the 2026 class.

The massive D-line prospect ranked No. 199 overall, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings for the 2026 class, is now getting interest from another SEC program, and he’s reciprocating it.

Berymon is expected to visit Florida this weekend, according to On3. This is a new development. Nebraska football has been trending with expert projections, from some on the local beat, as well as from On3/Rivals’ top recruiting expert, Steve Wiltfong.

Florida making a push for key Nebraska football recruiting target

New Florida head coach Jon Sumrall has been building some momentum on the recruiting trail with the Gators. Berymon could be the next to sign up.

Earlier this week, Berymon told Rivals that he had made up his mind. He’s expected to announce a commitment on National Signing Day (next Wednesday, Feb. 4). However, that might not be the case anymore.

Nebraska football tried to get him back on campus this weekend. Yet Berymon chose to visit Florida instead. That could be a worrisome sign for the Huskers, who could really use a blue-chip nose tackle like Berymon. He’s explosive and feels like he could play early.

This recruitment just got more interesting with less than a week to go.
